Mini Shopping Lesson:
Why are these smart choices?
- When choosing a convincing look for less, it’s all in the details! The tops I’ve chosen are cut in a way that is very similar to more expensive designer brands like Vince, Theory, and Ralph Lauren. Although inexpensive, this knitwear drapes beautifully along the lines of your body. Since the Western look is a current trend, I’ve included a stylized chambray shirt. It closely echoes its high end counterpart without breaking the bank.
- The pinstripe design on the camel tasseled scarf is an upscale detail that elevates its look.
- The chevron patterned sweater tights are made of a soft, stretchy knit fabric that provides just the right amount of opaque sheerness. They’ll take your little black dress up several notches.
- The bottoms I’ve chosen are looks for less based on similar styles from Tanya Taylor, Theory, and Reiss. These are great copies with attention to all the right details: cut, color, and fabric.
- The quality materials of the handbags makes them look much more expensive. They don’t have any telltale logos, so they just could be mistaken for their higher end cousins.
- As for the belt and shoes, they are very reminiscent of similar styles from Celine, Prada, and Dolce & Gabbana. They’ll definitely give you the look for a lot less!
